When we moved into our home, there wasn’t much we thought “had” to be done. Sure, some rooms were a little outdated, but there was nothing screaming “change me now or you’ll hate me forever!” We ended up DIYing our Kitchen cabinets taking them from an orangey-oak to a white, which completely opened up the room and gave it the refresh I hoped for.

It wasn’t until this year that my grudge for our powder room started to really get to me. That pedestal sink, the beige toilet. I was intimidated by a total gut job, but I also didn’t think we needed one. I was hoping we could give it the refresh it needed with a paint job and a toilet/sink replacement. Oh, and décor replacement, of course! I wanted to go for a Black and Gold color theme and finally found a black vanity on wayfair that would fit our small space! The downfall, the hardware was silver AND we could not find hardware that would fit the configuration in gold…so DIY handles, here we come! LOL We used Rustoleum spray paint to get the hardware gold, and I think it came out great!

What do you think? Would you go for this new style?
